Baby Animals – Brown Bear Cubs

Brown bear cubs are frequently born in litters numbering from 1-3 bear cubs. They are born without teeth, bald, and without sight. They survive by feeding on their mother’s milk, a process that will continue to occur until the cub becomes old enough to hunt on his or her own. The bear cubs will usually stay with the mother for approximately 3 years, at which point the mother will drive off the cubs and seek to mate again.

As many of you probably know, you never want to get in the way of a mother bear and her cubs. Mother bears are known to be especially vicious when they feel that their bear cubs are threatened. They often are forced to drive off male bears who will kill a mother bear’s cubs if given the chance.

Baby Animals – Baby Rabbits

A baby rabbit litter can vary widely in size, but is typically between 4 and 12 baby rabbits. Larger breeds of rabbits can frequently have even larger litters. A baby rabbit (called a kit) can be weaned in a very quick amount of time, only 4 to 5 weeks. This means that a rabbit is ready to breed very often, and can even be responsible for producing around 800 rabbits (children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren) in a single season! In fact, a rabbit is ready to breed at only 6 months old, so you can see where the rabbit’s reputation for producing more rabbits comes from.

Baby rabbits are born without sight, naked and basically helpless. Mother rabbits nurse their young as they grow, but interestingly, nursing only needs to occur for baby rabbits a couple of times a day for just a few minutes. In just around 10 days, baby rabbits open their eyes. They begin eating on their own in just a few more days after that. Fur grows and gradually turns into a regular protective coat.

Baby animals are a lot of fun to learn about and look at. Baby animals party supplies are adorable to decorate your birthday party or baby shower with. Make your day a little more delightful when you add our wonderful and charming baby animals baby shower supplies to your big day!
