Peanuts Birthday Party Ideas

Everyone loves the memorable characters from Peanuts. Make your child’s party a fun and memorable one by choosing to celebrate with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang. It is easy to transform your place to look like everyone just stepped into a Peanuts episode.

  • Snoopy Cake - Make a cake with white icing and have paw print designs on it to hint that Snoopy has been around. The black and white icing will draw all of the kids’ attention. Have a sign next to the cake that reads “Snoopy was here.”

  • Jell-O Jigglers - Use bone-shaped cookie cutters to make dog biscuit-shaped Jell-O Jigglers that Snoopy would like.

  • Snoopy’s Favorite Snacks - Fill “dog bowls” with Snoopy’s favorite snacks, which include pretzels, popcorn, nuts, dried fruit, etc. for kids to refuel with in between games.

  • Woodstock Cupcakes - Snoopy’s sidekick Woodstock wants in on the party, too. Use yellow icing to decorate cupcakes and have a sign next to them that reads "Woodstock was here.”

  • Guess How Many - Fill a jar with peppermint patties and have each guest estimate how many chocolates are in the jar. The winner gets to take them all home – or they can share with everyone else after the games. Have a picture of Peppermint Patty next to it.

  • Bean Bag Toss - Have everyone line up and toss bean bags into pails with pictures of their favorite Peanuts characters glued to the front for points. Give each child a special Peanuts-themed prize for participating. Everyone is a winner this time!

  • Charlie, Charlie, Snoopy - Play this Peanuts version of “Duck, Duck, Goose” for a burst of fun and energy for everyone as “Snoopy” chases “Charlie” around the circle. Kids will have a blast with this one.

  • Pin the Tail on the Snoopy - Place a large picture or cutout of Snoopy on a wall or on a tree. Wrap a scarf around the player’s eyes and give them Snoopy’s tail to pin on. Give each child a chance to try. The one who pins the tail closest to the right spot gets a prize (Peanuts stickers or a Peanuts coloring book, etc.). This one is sure to bring a great deal of laughter from those watching.

  • Charlie Brown Show - After a fun afternoon of playing, have everyone sit down and watch a classic Peanuts movie. It is sure to be a hit with everyone there.
