Kung Fu Panda Party Ideas
Kick your birthday party up a notch with a Kung Fu Panda party.Kung Fu Art: Organize an art table with coloring books and pictures for each child to color and add glitter, paint and other fun decorations.
Chinese Fortune Tellers: Lead the group in folding the chatterbox paper fortune tellers. Have kids write their own fortunes on the different tabs and decorate with markers and glitter.
Kung Fu Fighting: Play the classic hit Kung Fu Fighting and enjoy a fun game of dancing statues, but add in Kung Fu moves. When the music stops, the kids have to freeze in their Kung Fu moves.
Chopsticks Relay: Line up kids into two teams on one side of the room and then put piles of random small objects or Kung Fu Panda figurines on the opposite side. Each child runs to the pile and tries to pick up an object using the chopsticks and bring it back to their team. First team to get all the objects back to their side wins.
Party Food
Homemade Fortune Cookies: Fortune cookies are a fun Chinese pastime and a great surprise twist on the traditional cookie. Using egg whites, vanilla, almond extract, sugar and flour, whip up a batch of fun fortune cookies. Before folding the batter, make sure to include fun fortunes on pieces of paper to give each guest a special fortune.Bamboo Sticks: Po and his panda bear friends eat tons of bamboo. While kids may not like real bamboo, pirouette cookie sticks resemble the bamboo shape. Stick them into a new plant pot filled with chocolate pudding to look like mud. Your little pandas will love it.
Panda Cupcakes: Bake chocolate cupcakes topped with half white vanilla icing and half dark chocolate icing. Add colorful candies for eyes and nose to make mini panda bear cakes.
Kung Fu Food: Serve kids’ favorite Chinese foods like chicken fried rice and small spring rolls.
