If your little one loves the choo-choos, then a Chuggington birthday party is the way to go. Check out these ideas for Chuggington games and birthday snacks to make the most of the Chuggington party theme.

Conductor Says – Make a Chuggington version of the traditional Simon Says game with a rousing round of “Conductor Says!” Have the birthday child kick off the game as the first conductor, and then the last kid standing can take their place.

Little Engineers – Get together a classic wooden (or plastic, if you prefer) train set and have all the kids be their own engineers. Once the track is put together, start chugging along! Play the Chuggington theme song while they are laying down the tracks.

Party Train: Come and ride the train choo choo! Get the kids to line up into their own conga-style dance line and dance around the living room to the Chuggington theme and other train-related songs.

Chuggington Cakes – Using small cake pans, bake individual cakes to each be a part of a train. Cover each cake with colorful icing using food coloring and vanilla frosting – make sure to have red, yellow, green and blue for the Chuggington colors. Add gummy wheels on the bottom with icing glue and then line up on a cake tray.

Colorful Salad – Chugginton’s trainees are all known by their colors, so match the train colors by making a colorful and healthy salad. Add spinach leaves for green, sliced strawberries and tomatoes for red, chopped almonds, blueberries for blue and yellow bell peppers. Add a balsamic vinaigrette for a flavorful dressing.

Frostini’s Ice Cream – Serve an ice cream sundae bar served out of Frostini’s ice cream train. Extra points for serving Italian gelato, but any ice cream will be sure to please!

Locomotive Snacks – Serve a variety of treats and snacks out of new and clean toy trains. If you don’t have any toys on hand, make your own using cardboard boxes or old animal cracker boxes painted to look like the Chuggington characters.
