Celebrating Captain America Style
Captain America Relay Race: Captain America can lift up to 1100 lbs! Let your guests show off how strong they are by having a relay race. Split the guests into two groups and use weights from 3 to 10 lbs. Let the kids run back and forth in the form of a relay race, to see which group is the strongest!One-Minute Race: Since Captain America can run a mile a minute, have a one-minute race to see how far the kids can run. This may work best outside in a big yard. Set a timer for one minute, and let the kids run. You can set up a track, or just let them run straight across the yard. The kid who ran the furthest is the winner!
Make Captain America Shields: Captain America’s shield is his main weapon. This is a fun craft that gives kids something to take home. Cut big circles out of cardboard. You may want to glue a handle on one side also. Cover the circle in tin foil. Provide the children with blue and red construction paper to let them decorate their shields.
Shooting Practice: Set up empty cans in a pyramid. Using Frisbees, let the kids take turns knocking down the pyramid. They can keep setting up the pyramid and knocking it down. To make it harder, throw more than one Frisbee at a time.
