Bear Birthday Party and Party Ideas
Bears are fascinating creatures, full of wonder and mystery. Have a fun bear-themed party and step into the paws of one of the most loved animals.
Bear Claws: Give everyone a tasty treat with some bear claws to nibble on. There is some substantial preparation that goes into making these, but all of your hard work will pay off when you see everyone’s faces light up after trying one. Mix ground almonds, almond paste, salt, and sugar in a large bowl until it is all smooth. Add in butter, egg whites, and almond extract before setting the mixture aside. Prepare some puff pastry and make 2 4in wide strips of dough.
Put the almond paste in the center of the strip before folding it over and sealing it before topping it with some sliced almonds. Be sure to cut slight slits into the dough to give it a “claw-like” appearance. Continue this until you have used all of your ingredients. Bake the claws at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, and you’ll have some delicious bear claws that are ready to eat.
Name that Bear: While you might not initially realize it, there are a ton of recognizable bears out there. Have a set of flash cards with different famous bears and see who can name them all. You can have images like Yogi Bear, Baloo from the Jungle Book, and the Bear in the Big Blue House. Crank up the challenge level with mascots like the Coca-Cola bear too!
Bear Hug Contest: Who is able to give out the best hugs? This friendly “contest” will be great for younger kids. Have them go around giving each other hugs, and then deciding who the best hugger of the group was. Be careful when explaining the rules, as you don’t want anyone getting hurt because they got squeezed too hard. This is a great way to get kids out of their bubbles and interacting with new kids to make new friends.
Bring Your Bear: If you have a younger crowd, let them invite a furry friend by having them bring a bear of their own. Most will bring a teddy bear, and they will love the idea of having a cuddly friend with them. You can even set aside some time for them to individually introduce the bear and tell its story to everyone. It’s sure to be a hit for the youngsters at the party.
Make your party the best in town by getting all of your essential bear party supplies early and wowing your guests. They’ll be roaring for more!
