Is it just me or does everybody seem to get really excited when McDonald’s brings out their Shamrock Shake every year? I always know it’s that time of year because I see so many people posting pictures of their Shamrock Shake on their Facebook page with a caption like “They’re baaaaack!” or “Lucky me!!!”. You know that St. Patrick’s Day and spring are on their way when Shamrock Shake season starts — something about them just makes people happy, regardless of their age.
If you are a fan of these minty, delicious shakes and don’t want to wait for them to come out once a year you are in luck – I found a recipe that will satisfy your cravings. There are a ton of recipes out there but THIS one is the one that I want to make. Why? Because the person who created this recipe is a GENIUS ! Seriously. A genius. Not only did she get the basic recipe down pat, but she made it pretty. And she made it look fancy. And she serves it in a wine glass. And, most importantly, she added just a touch of chocolate. Now I am drinking a thin mint cookie. That, my friends, is why she is a genius.
Give this a try at your St. Patrick’s Day parties – your friends will then think you, too, are a genius.
