The wildly popular Yo Gabba Gabba first aired on Nick Jr. in August of 2007. It’s a variety show, hosted by the orange-clad DJ, Lance Rock, who brings the show’s characters to life by singing “Yo Gabba Gabba!” at the beginning of every episode. The audience is then transported into Yo Gabba Gabba Land, home to Muno, a tall red cyclops, Foofa, a cuddly pink flower bubble, Brobee, a short green four-year old creature, Toodee, a friendly blue cat-dragon, and Plex, a yellow robot. Every episode features lots of singing and dancing, and sometimes has famous guests come in to act, sing or dance with the characters. My toddler is mesmerized by the show, and especially loves the dance routines. Every show is educational in some way, so I let my daughter watch the show and boogie to the music every now and then.
Planning your Yo Gabba Gabba party couldn’t be more fun. Think of decorating your home with lots of funky, bright colors, and try an activity that kids everywhere love, like breaking open this retro Tie-Dye Pinata!
