Looney Tunes Party Supplies are making a comeback. Cartoon Network is currently airing reruns of the original Looney Tunes cartoons in anticipation of their new show. “The Looney Tunes Show” is set to premiere on Cartoon Network May 3rd at 8PM and  a whole new generation will be introduced to Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and their very colorful group of friends. The new show concept revolves around Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck moving to the suburbs and all of the adventures that ensue. The old Looney Tunes shows were 7-minute “shorts”, but the new show will be a half-hour. The new animated series will have more of a sit-com format. The series will also feature 2 minute animated music videos of original songs (Merrie Melodies) performed by Elmer Fudd, Pepe Le Pew and others.

I have fond childhood memories of watching Bugs, Daffy, Porky Pig and all of the other Looney Tunes characters with my brother and my dad every Saturday morning. My kids have seen the old Looney Tunes cartoons and we’re all looking forward to the premiere of the new show. The new show will air Tuesdays at 8PM, maybe I’ll set the DVR and we can watch it together on Saturday mornings.
