New Location

Discount Party Supplies has very exciting news!  We have moved into our new location, here in Jackson, MI and big changes are afoot!  Here are some pictures and info to let you know what we are up to, and we will be adding in the hopefully not-too-distant future. We have moved into our new offices and warehouse. We are getting organized slowly but surely, but everything is still in a bit of disarray; desks are being arranged, shelves are being stocked and added in the warehouse, and with more items and products being added every day, you can just mentally add a “pardon our dust” sign to all of the photos below!

One of the biggest changes, is that we are now offering a local pickup option to people who live in the mid-Michigan area.  That means that even if you have waited until the last minute to start looking for party supplies, you can still get them quickly and easily.  Just go to the website, and select the products that you want.  When you are ready to check out, just select the local pickup option, in the shipping section.  It’s that easy!

There are even more exciting things that we have planned, but you will have to be patient, and keep visiting our site for more updates about the new things that we will be offering, and the changes that are in the works!

This is Rob Robinson, the Chief Operations Officer of Discount Party Supplies. He grew up in the mid-Michigan area, and attended Michigan State University. After graduation he moved to the east coast, working in the financial industry for Oppenheimer Capital. The siren song of the Great Lakes State pr oved irresistible though; he moved back to Michigan with his wife in 1997 to work for his family’s company, Blue Bay South, the leading provider of charitable gaming supplies in Michigan. After the birth of his twin daughters, Rob decided he just wasn’t quite busy enough and launched WholesaleBingoSupplies.com in 2008. Encouraged by the rapid growth and success of his first e-commerce venture, he and his longtime friend and colleague John Canetta decided to bring value, service, and convenience to the party industry. Together they introduced DiscountPartySupplies.com in 2009. Now he spends his days surrounded by balloons, noisemakers, streamers, and party favors, and eats birthday cake every day for lunch!

halloween 1

We are shipping out Halloween Party Supplies these days as fast as we get them in!  I thought about bringing my kids here to help me pick out our Halloween decorations and tableware for our big Halloween party that we throw every year, but I didn’t dare.  I would never, ever get them to leave.  Seriously, walking around this place makes me feel like an eight-year old.  I start feeling like I need two of everything!  We are already getting prepared for the next big rush on decorations, for the holiday season.  There is never a time when we are not preparing for the next big holiday, here.  (Not to mention the unofficial holidays that drive our days and nights (graduations and weddings in the spring, barbecues and picnics in the summer, football in the fall, etc.)

baby shower

The Baby Shower Section – Tons of cute stuff, all in an array of soothing pastels.  Browsing in this aisle makes us feel sleepy and want our blankies.

favor1

The novelty favor section.  We carry only the finest plastic poo, and fake vomit for our most sophisticated customers.  They demand the best, and we provide it.

grad1

The graduation party section – We are still looking for a supplier that carried festive printed banners that say things like, “Congratulations, Grad!  Now Get Your Stuff Out of Your Bedroom, So I Can Turn It Into My Crafting Room!”  or “Congratulations, Grad!  Good Luck Finding a Job in This Economy!”

luau

The Luau Section.  If you have a pressing need for a coconut bra, and some tiki torches, you have come to the right place.  And as goofy as that sounds, as part of a generation that grew up with Gilligan’s Island, I have always wanted to throw a huge luau party.   One of these days, I am going to build a straw hut, and TOTALLY DO IT!
