On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon, as the culmination of NASA’s Apollo lunar missions. What a proud day for America, and the entire world! Celebrate this incredible feat with our Space Party Supplies!
There are so many things that you can do for Space Parties! With a little bit of planning, you can create great activities and treats that will please your guests, your wallet, and your schedule!
Of course, the first step is to order your party supplies. Our Standard Space Party Packs give you everything that you need for a great party. They are packaged for parties of eight, for your convenience, and include tableware and decorations. Our Deluxe and Ultimate Space Party Packs also include fun space party supplies, space party invitations, and space party favors!

A great party activity that you can do at the party, is making Paper Mache Planets. Again, a few minutes of work the day before your party, will give you a fun and inexpensive activity that the kids will really enjoy. All you need are a few ingredients:
Newspaper
Flour
Water
Balloons
Tempera Paints/Paintbrushes
To start, blow up balloons in a variety of sizes, ranging from large to small. Cut newspapers into one-inch, and in a large mixing bowl, combine one part flour with two parts water. Whisk together, until the flour and water form a thin paste. Dip strips of newspaper into the paste mixture (the easiest way to get the excess paste off is to take a strip of the dipped newspaper and run it in between two fingers.) Smooth it over the balloons, until each of them are covered by a thick layer of the paper mache mixture. Put them in a warm spot to dry for several hours, overnight if you are able. When the paper mache has dried to form a hard, solid sphere, stick a needle in them to pop the balloons, and you will be left with perfect planets that are just waiting to be painted. Give your guests the tempera paints and some brushes and let them go to town! You can print out pictures of the planets from online sources, to show the kids what each planet looks like, or just let their imaginations go wild, and create any planet that they can dream up! Send their finished works home with the kids after they dry, for a fun souvenir!
To add to the fun, make this Moon Landing cake, that will blow your guests away!

Recipe courtesy of Family Fun
Ingredients
2 8-inch round cakes (use your favorite boxed cake mix)
7 chocolate wafers or chocolate sandwich cookies
16-ounce can white frosting
Necco candy wafers (we used only the gray ones)
DECORATIONS (Plastic astronauts, Miniature American flag)
Instructions
Using a rolling pin, crush the chocolate cookies in aZiploc bag (leave a small opening for air to escape). Empty
the can of frosting into a bowl, then stir in the crumbs. Frost the top of the flat cake, then place the dome cake on
it. (If necessary, first trim the bottom of the dome with a large knife so that it’s level.) Frost the rest of the
cake.
Push the Necco wafers into the frosting to form craters on the moon’s surface. Add the astronauts and the flag.
