We feel sorry for the people who received one of these 20 cakes for their special occasion.
These days, creative cake decorating is reaching new heights. People are doing amazing things to make cakes personal and special. From edible cake images that show off the guest of honor, to elaborate fondant creations that blow people’s minds, special birthday cakes are wonderful things! But, we thought it might be fun to put together a list of some party cakes that might not have turned out exactly as envisioned. A few have mistakes, others are obviously inappropriate, and some are just plain weird. Let’s just say, we feel sorry for whoever might have received one of these for their very special day. So, without further ado, we present to you our list of “20 Party Cakes Gone Horribly Wrong.”
1. Code Gone Wrong
There are a large number of online cake decorators that allow customers to add their own message via an online system. Sadly the designer failed to notice that the code messed up and this cake ended up being sent out to the customer.
Poor Aunt Elsa!
2. Baby Cooked in A Cake
I’m assuming that this cake was made to celebrate a baby’s birth or first birthday. Yet it has ended up looking like some weirdo has tried to bake a real baby!
3. Piggy Baby
This bizarre baby cake was found in a cake store in Shanghai, China. It looks like some sort of pig baby crossed with an orange!
4. Doggy Spiderman
This poor child’s Spidey birthday cake ended up looking like some sort of bizarre misshapen dog. This cake would scare the hell out of any child – “mommy, what wrong with Spiderman’s arms?!
5. Happy Bath Day
Whomever bought this cake must have thought the birthday boy/girl was in need of a good cleaning.
6. Wrong Country
This cake was meant to celebrate Cami and Damon going to Germany. Yet the cake designer has very little geography knowledge and drew another country – Czech Republic maybe?
7. Braidal Shoer
This is what happens when you outsource your “Bridal Shower” cake designing to Asia!
8. Cake Car Crash
This bizarre cake was created for Billy’s birthday. I can’t imagine why someone would create such a macabre scene for someone’s birthday.
Lets just hope that the Billy was not recently in a major car accident!
9. Cake Bong?
This cake disaster has ended up looking like some sort of college dorm bong!
10. Eww Green Cake!
I have no idea how this person managed to turn the inside of their cake green! I really don’t want to check if this tastes as bad as it looks.
11. Teddy Bear Cupcakes
This TV character cake looks like it has seen better days.
12. Thomas the Tank Engine Cake
This scary Thomas the Tank Engine cake has very phallic imagery. I wonder if the cake creator noticed this?
13. R2D2 Cake
Nooooooo….R2D2 is dead!
14. Star Trek Cake
I wonder if the cake creator had ever seen one episode of Star Trek. I have no idea which starship this is!
15. Rock On Cake
This rock on symbol looks more like Jedi Yoda.
16. Another Accidental Phallic Cake
Be careful when adding candles to cakes, it can sometime end up looking like this birthday cake.
17. Tasty looking Cake
A very disgusting looking cake found by the team at cakewrecks.com.
18. Leia and Luke French Kissing – Ew!
This cake designer has made me slightly ill. It depicts Luke and Leia (yes they are bother and sister!) French kissing (with tongues) – Ew! I wish I could delete this image from my memory.
19. Pedo Bear Cake
Keep this cake well away from any of your children.
20. USB Flash Drive Cake
My Favorite cake from the awesome site – “Cake Wreck”
[answering phone] “Cakey Cake Bakery, Jill speaking! How can I help you?”
“Hi, I need to order a cake for my boss. We have a photo of him playing golf that we’d like to put on it, though – can you do that?”
“Of course! Just bring the photo in on a USB drive and we’ll print it out here.”
“Great, I’ll bring it by this afternoon.”Later…
“Hey, Jill, what am I putting on this cake?”
“Oh, check the counter; I left the jump drive out for you there.”
[calling from the back room] “Really? This is what they want on the cake?”
“Yeah, the customer just brought it in.”
“Okey dokey!”
Cake Wreck informs us that this story is true and we have no reason to disbelieve them.

On #6 the other “country” is actually West Virginia.
A comment about the cake with the wrong country.
You say that it looks like the artist drew the Czech Republic instead of Germany. Well, I think it looks a lot more like West Virginia. Haha, even worse.
The green cake… I’ve had happen to me when making cupcakes. It happens when you don’t mix things in the right order as they should be. I dont know exactly why that causes it to turn green, but my oven was bluish green for quite awhile…
It should be “Whoever bought this cake”…not “Whomever….” I can’t help myself. I know it’s obnoxious to correct someone’s English. When people don’t know which one to use, they must think that “whom” sounds more educated. But the word “who” is the subjective case whereas the word “whom” is the objective case. In your sentence, you would ask the question, “Who bought this cake?” You wouldn’t say “Whom bought this cake?” Who is the subject of the sentence. In another the example of your sentence, you wouldn’t say, “Him bought this cake.” You would say “He bought this cake.” So the correct way is “Whoever bought this cake….” Not “Whomever bought this cake.” Maybe this explanation will help you. Feel free to delete my post after you read it.
Nice catch Pat, thanks! We will be sure to fix it!
@Pat, just wanted to say that that is officially the first explanation of who vs. whom that I’ve actually understood! Particularly the part about him vs. he. Thanks for posting!
I like the Wizard of Oz. I like the Tin Man.
OK, I guess someone Googled badly, because Germany Valley seems to be what they found. Sure enough, in West Virginia. . . .
People always leave Michigan off of U.S. maps! Crazy people!
